The adrenalin fuelled performances by the Rolling Stones in 1990 went down in Wembley history and put the Stones on the top table of Wembley Stadium’s rock giants. The band featuring Mick Jagger on lead vocals, guitar and harmonica, Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood on guitar and backing vocals, Bill Wyman on bass guitar and Charlie Watts on drums and percussion played five nights at Wembley on the European leg of their Urban Jungle Tour. The set list included their legendary hits; ’Honky Tonk Women’, ‘Paint it Black’, ‘Sympathy for the Devil’, ‘Brown Sugar’, ‘Jumping Jack Flash’ and ‘I can’t Get No Satisfaction’.
Ronnie Wood’s radio show is produced by Somethin’ Else and can be heard on Absolute Classic Rock Monday to Thursday at 4pm and repeated at 9pm. He’s also on Friday at 8pm and Saturday at 10 pm on Absolute Radio. Check him out on Facebook, Twitter and his personal site.
